At Muhlenberg College, Allentown, PA, I was an editor for the weekly student newspaper. It was named, with great originality, the WEEKLY.
During college summers, I was a reporter for the Morning Call, handling a wide variety of assignments. Later, I founded my own successful advertising agency. Writing assignments included many newsletters, magazine articles, features and human interest pieces. Clients were both stateside and all through the Caribbean.
In 2001, I was working in Manhattan on 9/11 and had an uncomfortably close view of the World Trade Center disaster. Like countless others, I had to stay in my office overnight. I wrote three articles and distributed them to friends and family. To my surprise, they traveled around the world, reached more people than I could imagine and became the subjects for sermons.
A client, the Lutheran Home at Topton, PA needed a history of its first hundred years. I was commissioned to write the story and named it “A Gift of Love.”
“Time Birds”, my first novel, began writing itself in my imagination long before I set pen to paper. Other writers have described this same phenomenon.visualizza meno
