If you like the combination of a luxury city centre hotel with a wonderful on-site spa, like The Greenwich New York (which was featured in the Winter 2021 of the magazine), then read on to find out what London can offer in a similar style, character and, above all, exceptional luxury. I’ve been lucky enough to visit The Greenwich a couple of times (which is owned by Robert De Niro) and am still in awe of their subterranean Shibui Spa, right in the heart of Manhattan, so I’m always looking to be able to recreate a similar experience closer to home.
London is the capital of the United Kingdom, and is such a fascinating city to visit even for those (like me) already living in that country. It’s easily accessible for a luxury weekend break and has the highest concentration of five stars hotels of anywhere in the world, followed by Dubai, New York, Paris then Miami making up the top five. There is such a mix of ‘Grand Dame’ classic properties like The Langham and The Landmark, to the traditional meets modern interiors like the Hotel Café Royal and One Aldwych, to the newly built and one of the most recent new London five star destinations, The Londoner Hotel. I’ll take you through my experience of five of the best five star hotels, with a particular focus on what they offer spawise (a real passion of mine).
Se vi è piaciuta la combinazione fra un lussuoso hotel in centro città e una meravigliosa spa, un po’ come quella del The Greenwich New York (ne abbiamo parlato nella Winter Issue 2021), allora continuate a leggere e scoprirete cosa può offrire Londra in uno stile simile per carattere e, soprattutto, per lusso.
