Ten years later he was running a successful mental health private practice and teaching psychology and counseling courses at area colleges and universities. He also completed post-graduate training to gain certifications as a sex therapist, medical psychotherapist and palliative care specialist. He received his initial training in hypnosis and hypnotherapy at the Ericksonian Institute in Houston, Texas.
Under the instruction of Drs. Carol Kershaw and Bill Wade, he acquired extensive knowledge of Ericksonian philosophy, therapy techniques, and trance application. There followed years of additional courses and readings which led to a deeper appreciation for the unconscious mind and the inner energy we possess. For the past twenty years he has fully integrated trance work and hypnotherapy into his clinical practice.
Samuel Kupper earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in the field of Chinese History and Philosophy. He also has a law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and is a member of the California State Bar. Among his numerous fellowships, he is the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship, and those from both the American Council of Learned Societies and the Social Science Research Council. In his younger years, he practiced self-hypnosis with incredible success. Upon retiring, he sought to explore the possibility of using hypnosis and self-hypnosis as a means of gaining greater understanding and utilization of his inner energy field.visualizza meno
