He worked as a journalist with Foinse from 2000 to 2009 and was Editor of that newspaper from 2003-2009. He won the Oireachtas na Gaeilge award for Print Journalist of the Year in 2007 and 2008. When Foinse closed in 2009 he worked as Irish Language Advisor to the Government. He then worked as a freelance journalist, as deputy editor of the magazine Comhar and lectured in journalism in Fiontar in DCU. He has been editor of Tuairisc.ie since 2014.
He is one of the well-known journalists who contributed to the collection of essays about journalism, Scéal scéil: rúndiamhara na meán (Cois Life, 2014) and his latest book, Súil eile, which is about the founding and development of TG4, was published by Cois Life in 2017. He is one of the founders and the editor of Tuairisc.ie, the Irish-language online news service established in 2014.visualizza meno
