After graduating from Wheaton Academy in Illinois, he earned a BA in political science from Wheaton College (1968), a JD from the University of Georgia (1971), and an MA in political science from Georgia State University (1987). He served as a legislative assistant to U.S. Senator David H. Gambrell (D-Ga.) in Washington, D.C. in 1972.
Hollberg served as a leader in the churches in which he has been a member. He applied this experience and his skills as a lawyer to writing a summary of the Bible, analyzing topics one by one, then evaluating, prioritizing, and presenting explanatory summaries of those topics. The result is a panoramic view of the storyline of Scripture that will open up the Bible to you in a new and fresh way.
