Qualifying as a Chartered Secretary by means of a correspondence course while serving, when retired he worked as the Accountant for an Insurance Company which ran a syndicate at Lloyds of London.
During his final retirement he has served as Chairman, Secretary or Treasurer on a number of local committees and has been a Churchwarden of his local church and a Prison visitor.
He is the author of New Zealand A Personal Discovery, A Fisher of Slaves and Turbans. The first is a travel book about the country he loves, the second is an historical novel concerning the Atlantic Slave Trade and the third is also a historical novel about life in India during the Raj and World War II.visualizza meno
