This is the first book from Sandra Reed. She proudly calls herself a Hoosier, having lived in Indiana her entire life. The mother of four and grandmother of three, she credits her Midwest values for helping her make good choices. Most know her for her love of animals. Her current passion is a Chow named Bear, an abandoned dog found tied to a factory fence. Her other interests include sports, music and painting.
This book started out as a journal, a diary of sorts. It was therapy for me at a time when I needed to put my life in order and try to make sense out of nonsense. Then it took on a life of its own. Suddenly there were characters, places and events written on the pages and I couldn’t wait to see how they would fair, what would happen next. Each night I would close my computer so my new found friends could sleep and open it in the morning so they could get on with their lives.
There is little doubt that my concern for animals and their welfare didn’t spill out as my fingers touched the computer keys. That part of my life has been constant, gut-wrenchingly constant. And it’s also true that the characters in the book were often taken from real people I have known as were the locations.visualizza meno
