He is the author of 19 books and 2,500+ articles on a variety of topics. He earned B.A. and M.A. degrees in history from the University of Hartford (West Hartford, CT) and Trinity College (Hartford, CT) respectively. Sharp served four years in the United States Marine Corps, from which he received an honorable discharge. He taught at the university level for over thirty years, His subjects ranged from Technical & Business Writing to Literature, Management, Business Ethics, and International Management. He edits three military association magazines: The Graybeards (Korean War Veterans Association); The Old Breed News (1st Marine Division Association); and The Chosin Few Digest (Chosin Few Association).
