I was very focused on sports and hopeless at English ,and maths and felt a little out of sync . But some how managed to get an English A level . I am not sure why I started to try and write poetry but I felt it was a creative way to explore one self. The first one was published when I was at school, in the school magazine . Then a little later was selected for a small publication . Two lyrics the Age Youth has Fed on , and a version of Fish and Chip Alley when I was in my late teens .Later on I felt who I was slipping away and I wanted to keep a record in case I forgot who I was .
I have always been conscious of the fact that reading a book of poems , unlike a novel can be either a rather intense or a sterile experience, with nothing in between how ever good they may be . By firstly adding the concept lyrics or songs it lightens the process and opens up the experience . To work with art and music so that these can draw on each others skills and inspiration to bring songs , lyrics and poetry more visually alive .
And this is what seems to happen here, with the help of Romy Werner`s inspirational paintingsvisualizza meno
