In 1956, when touring the US, he decided to make this country his permanent residence. From 1964–1968, he attended Florida State University and wrote his doctoral dissertation on Albert Camus. After graduation, he taught French and Spanish at the Citadel, The Military College in South Carolina. During that time, he translated important French documents for General Mark Clark, president emeritus of the school and former hero of World War II in the North African Invasion. Between 1974 and 1978, Dr. Crespil taught English in a law school at Fez, Morocco, while supervising the English program at the Navy CEMS school in Kenitra. When the military base closed, he came to Texas, and he has been teaching French and Spanish at Texas Southern University in Houston ever since.visualizza meno
