After graduating high school from Richlands, Virginia, in the year 1975, marriage and the coal mines were all that were in view. Then, in 1979, in a small country church, the Swords Creek Free Pentecostal Block church, where an old man of God, the Reverend Carl W. Robinson, preached the gospel of Jesus Christ, his life was changed to the point that it would never be the same. He was eventually ordained in 1981 through the same church. Having spent a few years in the coalmines, he struck out one day and became a full-time evangelist. It was after a few years of traveling, preaching the gospel, the call came to pastor, and so he did for about seven and a half years at a church called the Wilderness Tabernacle. It was later that he joined the Virginia Crossties, a bluegrass gospel group, and traveled with them for four years. He currently attends the Richlands First Assembly of God, where he is a licensed minister. He is involved in radio and television ministries, while filling in for different pastors in the area, along with holding revivals. Besides writing songs for the Virginia Crossties, this is his first attempt at writing. He hopes there will be more to come though, although that will be left strictly up to the Lord. His desire is to help anyone interested in making heaven their everlasting habitation, since it is his belief that we all must die. Let us be ready for it.visualizza meno
