Call me Flo, just Flo. It’s more than enough.
Flo is part of my full name and Flo is how my colleagues, friends and my extended family call me.
I live and work in the UK, in Health and Social Care as a registered, qualified Senior Carer and the only reason I mention what I am blessed to do is because of what I’ve learned, found and realized since my journey as a Carer started a few years ago.
And this is what you will find in these upcoming pages.
This book is out of a compelling thought determined to reach out to you. It is also out of gratitude.
It didn't seem to matter to this compelling thought though, that English is not my first language, you most likely figure it out by now, nor it didn’t seem to matter whatever excuses I was looking for to not go through this. Writing a book is by no means a small thing. Only this compelling thought grew in strength and signs were showing up more and more each day to reinforce this need of sharing what I’ve learned with the world.
The possibility of helping someone is there, so here we are.
The more I was thinking about it the more I could see that my predicament, English not being my first language, was actually in alignment with the content of this book.
To create something new with what you currently have.
To be driven by a future and not by a past, not even by the present circumstances.
To push through especially when you don’t have all the necessary tools, or when you don’t even meet the necessary requirements to do so.
To follow that compelling thought that scares you the most. That what if.
As you will see, it does take daily work and consistency in the midst of chaos, believing in oneself first and sometimes it takes something for someone to say to spark that in another.
At the least is a cause worth striving for it, living for it and I would like to be that cause to rekindle the same in someone else as others have done for me. It is also how I honor the life in me.
There is not only one thing that it takes to find what you're looking for, for every little thing in life is complementary to another.
I am grateful to have arrived where I am now in my life, so here is my journey so far and what lead me to this moment.visualizza meno
