You only need to thumb through Rizzoli’s recent book on architect Carlo Colombo, one of the world’s most renowned designers, to understand how innovative, refined and strategic Italian design is for the spread of the Made in Italy brand in the home furnishings sector. The next Milan furniture show, which presents in June with a special look at the furniture and kitchens on offer, is the greatest international stage for showcasing a sector that has multiplied its showrooms from Milan to Shanghai even during the pandemic.
