Inspiration

For years Jo has been meaning to write a novel and has never got even one sentence down on paper. Never even tried.

Not writer’s block, just so much to say he doesn’t know where to start. Even if he started he wouldn’t have a clue how to go on, how to end.

Anyhow the illusion of a possible novel, still unwritten, comes in handy. It implies that he could write one, while actually he doesn’t attempt it, risk it.

But this also prevents any chance of success.

He lacks confidence.

Or maybe he’s a coward.

Or both.

At any rate, maybe today the miracle is about to happen, judging from his gung-ho attitude, sitting in front of the computer page.
