Universe

I walked infinite spaces;

endless sunrises,

endless sunsets,

interminable nights are passed in my womb.

In my heart there is an eternal sigh,

in my muscles an eternal agony:

I seek, One I have lost,

along the paths of cosmos.

I seek from the darkness of time

with the first throbbing atom in the hand of the Creator,

with the first breath of life,

with the desires of man.

I run through the motion of planets

and the whistling of winds

fast as lightning,

I run towards life,

toward peace that I haven’t,

I seek the Eternal, the Perfect.

It 's so long this fasting:

he never passes;

and I continue to search Him,

without peace,

along the paths of the cosmos.
